This step-by-step guide will help you leave the campervan in perfect condition before check-out. All tasks can be completed at the Tgas gas station between San Isidro and El Médano (Location here).
It is recommended to arrive 1 hour and 30 minutes before check-out to complete the tasks without rushing. Remember, the campervan must be returned in the same condition as you received it. If there are justified complaints with photo evidence, a penalty of up to €150 will be applied if the tasks described below are not completed.
1. Washing Machine
- Items to clean: duvet cover (only the cover), 2 towels, mattress cover, kitchen cloths, and pillowcases.
- Instructions:
- Place the items in the washing machine and close the lid.
- Select the 20-minute program on the machine, pay €4, and set an alarm on your phone to know when it finishes.
2. Filling the Water Tank
- Water cap location by model:
- Sevillana: Rear door, right side, red cap.
- Chicharrera: Rear door, left side, white cap without a key.
- Abriguitos: Rear door, center, black cap (lower the furniture lid and remove the table).
- Murciana: Rear door, left side, red cap.
- Madrileña: Rear door, left side, white cap without a key.
- Grey water (Murciana and Madrileña): Empty the sink water tank in the grey water area.
- Instructions:
- Remove the water cap.
- Pull the hose to the required length, insert €1 into the machine, and press the button.
- Bend the hose to prevent water from flowing until it is inside the tank.
3. Exterior Wash
- Located next to the water filling area.
- Instructions:
- Use €1 to clean the campervan’s exterior.
4. Vacuum Cleaner
- Preparation by model:
- Sevillana: Remove fridge, potty, kitchen utensils, and gas stove.
- Chicharrera: Remove floor mats and kitchen utensils.
- Abriguitos: Remove fridge, battery, front and rear floor mats, and drawers.
- Madrileña: Remove gas stove and kitchen utensils.
- Murciana: Remove fridge, gas stove, kitchen utensils, and battery.
- Instructions:
- Use €1 to activate the vacuum cleaner.
- Vacuum the driver’s area and the rear living space.
5. Dryer
- When the washing machine finishes, transfer the clothes to the dryer.
- Select the 20-minute program, pay €4, and set another alarm.
6. Dishwashing
If there are dirty dishes or utensils:
- Use the sink or bucket with a sponge and dish soap (Fairy) to clean them.
7. General Cleaning (Cloth and Universal Cleaner)
- Use a cloth and disinfectant to clean surfaces.
- Key areas: fridge, potty, gas stove, drawers, cupboards, table, furniture, and doors.
8. Glass Cleaning
- Clean the car windows inside and the interior mirror if applicable.
9. Floor Cleaning
- Use a cloth to clean the floor thoroughly.
10. Bed Linen and Clothes
- Collect the clothes from the dryer.
- Place the duvet cover and pillowcases on the bedding.
- Important: Ensure all bed linens (sheets, duvet, and pillows) are placed in the same location where you found them. This ensures everything is ready for the next guest.
11. Supplies Check
- Verify that there is enough toilet paper, garbage bags, and gas for the next guest. If anything is missing, it can be purchased at the gas station.
12. Fuel and Check-Out
- Ensure the fuel level matches the amount at the start of your rental.
- Drive to El Médano (Location here) to complete the check-out.
13. Final Photos
- Take the following photos:
- 4 exterior photos.
- 1 of the fuel gauge.
- Several interior photos: fridge, bathroom, bed linens, the main living area, and the driver’s area.
- Attach the rear padlock, place the key inside, ensure it is locked, and change the combination. Take a photo of the padlock.
14. Security Deposit Refund
Once the photos are received and verified, the deposit will be refunded if everything is in order in a maxumun of 24h.
